Our Hall and its Facilities >>
The hall is run by a management committee, overseen by holding trustees. It aims to make sufficient annual surpluses to contribute towards periodic large maintenance works which are inevitably required from time to time.

The main hall is about 7m wide by 12.5m long, making it just over 90m2. It can seat up to 99 people, at tables or just rows of chairs. There is a stage, sound system, projector, screen and free high speed Wi-Fi. There is also a set of display screens that can be used for art exhibitions and so on. All of that is complimented by a well equipped kitchen and toilets. To see the hall, check out our virtual tour, or for pictures and the hall floor plan click here, then for the playing field, play area and tennis courts, there are pictures here.

Subject to approval and the payment of a returnable deposit, anyone hiring the hall is permitted to use the hall’s audio visual equipment. This is on the basis that once the hire has ended and none of the AV equipment has been damaged, the deposit will be refunded.

The audio visual equipment is as follows:

  1. A locked cabinet containing, amplifier, mixer, connection panel & Bluetooth receiver
  2. AV switches & sockets
  3. A high resolution projector
  4. A 2.4m screen
  5. Two microphones, one wireless, one wired and a mic stand
  6. 6 No. fixed speakers, positioned either side at the front, middle and back of the main hall.

If you would like more information about the AV equipment, please ask the Booking Agent for our BSDVH Audio Visual Equipment, Hall Hirer's Guide before making your booking.

Brancaster Camera Club
The Brancaster Camera Club meets once a month on Tuesday evenings starting at 7pm. Whether you are a happy snapper, a professional or a keen amateur, all are all equally welcomed, regardless of whether you’re local or just visiting. We are a small friendly group open to everyone regardless of ability or equipment, from point and shoot through to more complicated cameras. Why not come and see us and have a tea or coffee? At our meetings we  have a projected display of members’ images on a theme that was set previously, with discussion. Sometimes we have a lecture on a particular aspect of photography, or a competition between Members or another Club. We recently held our Annual Print Exhibition, the first three winning photographs are here. If this might be of interest to you, please do come along for a couple of evenings, free of charge. We look forward to welcoming you.

For more information including the meeting dates call Sue Till on 01485 210013 or Wendy Calow on 01553 674725.

Brancaster Staithe Indoor Short Carpet Bowls Club
Join us for a relaxed, non competitive and enjoyable session of short carpet bowls. It's a compact, indoor version of traditional lawn bowls, designed for village halls and community spaces. It’s played on a short carpet about 30 feet long and 6 feet wide, with a central obstacle and strict delivery zones that make precision and control essential. You don't have to be a league player - all skills are welcome. From September onwards, we meet on Monday afternoons from 2pm to 4pm. A membership of £3 a year and £1.50 weekly is all that we charge.

If you are interested, please ring Sue Till 01485 210013.

Brancaster Staithe Bridge Club
Come and join us to enjoy playing and learn more about Contract Bridge, the crown jewel of trick-taking card games. Equal parts logic puzzle, psychological duel and partnership dance. It’s played with a full deck of cards by four players in two partnerships, with teammates sitting opposite each other. The aim is to win tricks to fulfill a bid-based contract. Each deal progresses through four stages: 1. Each player is dealt 13 cards. 2. Players bid on how many tricks their partnership will take and in which suit (or no trump). 3. The winning bidder becomes the declarer, and their partner’s hand becomes the dummy, laid face-up. The declarer plays both hands. 4. Points are awarded based on the contract and tricks won.

For more information please contact Rosemary Loose on 01485 210550.
